A Gathering for Persons Living With HIV
August 21st -August 24th, 2023
We are planning the 2023 Strength for the Journey gathering with you in mind! We are offering a variety of retreat activities and experiences this year and ask you to make note of the following:

Transportation is being arranged to and from the camp for those who need it. Pickup will be in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. No transportation will be available for store runs or appointments during the retreat and we will have a closed campus. We request that to honor confidentiality of all journeyers, anyone who isn't a retreat participant does not visit during the retreat.

We are not able to provide caregiving at the retreat beyond limited help with medications. first aid, and assistance with mobility. We are unable to provide any one-on-one care including dementia care, assistance with activities of daily living, and safety supervision.

Although the camp is handicap accessible, some of the trails and pathways are uneven and may be difficult to navigate for people with mobility limitations.

For the safety of everyone in attendance, firearms, alcohol, and recreational drugs are strictly prohibited. Marijuana is illegal in the state of Idaho.

There is a $30.00 application fee, payable by check or money order, to help cover retreat cost. Please make registration fees out to “SAN” and send it to SAN 1103 W 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204.

The registration deadline, with the registration fee, is due July 20th, 2023. This money will hold your place at the retreat and will be returned to you if you’re not confirmed to attend the retreat, or if you cancel your application before August 1st, 2023. If you cancel after August 1st, leave campus, or are asked to leave for rule violation this money will not be refunded.

There may be a 12-step program available during Strength for the Journey for those that wish to participate. Information regarding these confidential meetings will be provided for you in your confirmation materials and at check-in. Please consider participating or leading such activities if you are able for the wellness of the community.
Confirmation letters and more Strength for the Journey information will be mailed out by August 3rd, 2023.

We are a gathering of unique and creative beings, reaching out for connections and reaching in - to seek
a quality of life.
We are the gathering: and in being a privileged part of connections with others, are changed by this
meeting.
